Management Committee

The MYMY Management Committee currently has 7 members including a chair, vice-chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Our Management Committee are volunteers and do not receive payment.

What does the Management Committee do?

The Management Committee help decide on our strategy and monitor the performance of MYMY – Mind Your Mate and Yourself. They also:

  • agree the business plan and performance targets on an annual basis

  • approve each year’s budget

  • monitor compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements

  • oversee a framework of delegation and systems controls

Our Management Committee come from various backgrounds and utilise their own skills and experience in order to help organisation run effectively. Our Committee share the values of MYMY and continue to give their support and time in a voluntarily to govern the organisation.

Committee Meetings

The Management Committee meet on a monthly basis with two months off in the summer. Extra meetings of the group can occur throughout the year only if, and when an event or task needs committee input.

MYMY has a workforce of trained and motivated people who deliver our services, sometimes in very challenging circumstances, and volunteers who give countless hours freely to support our work in a variety of ways.

Our counselling services are delivered by a highly motivated staff team and volunteer counsellors, whose dedication, experience and skills ensure that our clients get the quality of service and support they need.

The counselling team within MYMY are accredited or actively working towards accreditation, having completed their professional requirements. All counselor are bound by and comply with the code of ethics and practice of his/her regulatory body, which respect the rights, autonomy and choices of individuals. The regulatory bodies represented within our counselling team include BACP OR NCS (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and/or the National Counselling Society). You can search anyone of our counselors through the BACP or NCS directories. This proves that they are regulated and have achieved the appropriate and high standard of training needed to be an effective/competent counselor.
