We provide mental health and well-being support to people in the Newry, Mourne and Down council area.

How We Can Help You

We offer free confidential counselling services to individuals aged 16+ experiencing difficulties with a range of issues including: anxiety, bereavement, low mood, relationship issues, workplace stress, and trauma.

We also provide health and well-being programmes and workshops to help our community including Yoga, Mindfulness, Take 5, and Safe Talk.

About MyMy

MYMY – Mind Your Mate and Yourself is a community based mental health and well-being charity. We provide counselling services and well-being programmes and workshops for anyone aged 16+.

The MYMY Counselling Service is based at 19 Dundrum Road, Newcastle. It provides an accessible, safe and secure environment for counselling and signposting.

Our Charity Shop is based at 61 Main Street Castlewellan. All items donated and sold are invested back into the Charity.

Project 61 is a hub for community activities. We host Gamblers Anonymous and a Book Club. We also have a Warm Space, a Drop-In space and we run a variety of workshops and programmes.

MYMY is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee.

MYMY does not receive any core funding. We apply annually for grants from government departments and charitable trusts. We rely on donations from those who have benefitted from our services and from the wider community.

There are lots of ways you can support our work – organise a fundraising event with family and friends, attend or participate in one of MYMY’s fundraising events, donate goods or services to MYMY, make a one off or regular donation.

Charity Shop

Project 61

Our charity shop was opened in 2020 at 61 Main Street Castlewellan. All donations to the shop are used to fund counselling services and well-being programmes in the community.

Project 61 is the space within our charity shop for people to come together and connect with each other.
