A huge thanks to St Johns GAC who organised a Darkness into Light Walk in May and chose MYMY as their charity of choice. Last week MYMY chairperson, Paul Walsh and CEO, Deborah Boden visited St Johns GAC to meet with club chairperson, Mary Boyle and walk organiser, Danny O’Boyle who handed over a cheque for an amazing amount of £1200. This money was donated by club members and Danny O’Boyle’s employer, Ulster Bank Limited through their Community Cashback Programme.
Mary and Danny were joined by club members Meave O’Boyle, Meabh Murray, Gracie McMullan, Grace mcCann, Nathan Doran and Grainne Feenan. Paul and Deborah were delighted to hear all about the work the club is undertaking to keep its members physically and mentally fit and look forward to speaking to junior members later in the summer.
